Everybody that's anybody uses Facebook, if you cannot find a suitable audience on FaceBook, it probably doesn't exist. Okay that's potentially a slight exaggeration but with more than two billion users worldwide, of which, more than 200 million are in the United States alone, it is very widespread with an extremely wide range of demographics. Since its inception, FaceBook has
revolutionized news, culture, social interaction, and more recently product and services sales. Right now you can buy (and sell) just about anything on Facebook. With that in mind FB is now an extremely powerful money-making platform, as long as you understand and respect the rules. It’s no longer just a way to keep in touch with old school friends, share your funny cat photos, or post videos from your Birthday party or beach vacation. In fact, there are many ways you could potentially make money on Facebook.
The Facebook Marketplace is probably a good starting point if you are new to this arena. This is one of the simplest ways to make money on Facebook (FB), basically, FB allows you to sell items on a specific section of the site with many towns, cities, and communities having set up buy & sell pages where you can add product. At this point, you can post used or new items to sell, everything from laptops to cell phones, cars to furniture, and everything in between. It’s like Craigslist on steroids! And just like eBay, you need to include clear pictures and a very in depth description of what you’re selling, such as model number, condition (be honest), price and of course location if it needs to be collected.
With regards to price, make sure you are selling it for the right price, the best place to do this research is probably eBay because of it's massive market place and renowned customer support. As with any public market place, most potential buyers will try to negotiate or even low-ball you, so If you think it’s an unfair price you’re under no obligation to take the offer.
Facebook as a Traffic Driver
The great thing about Facebook is that its algorithms examine where you go online, what you click on the site, what videos you watch, what purchases you make, who your friends and family are and where you go to once you leave FB: While most people think this is like a chapter out of George Orwells 1984, it really can play to your advantage.
Slowly over a very short period of time it will bring more of the types of posts to your attention that will benefit your business.
Facebook is also, a way to connect like-minded people (your target audience), organizations, and companies that you may want to partner with. See our
Drop Shipping section to understand how there is massive opportunity in combining multiple aspects of our Products & Services section.
FB makes it easy to take advantage of this in order to make money, not by selling to people directly on the platform as with the Marketplace but rather by using your FB pages to compel people to click on links within your page (like a storefront) that then takes them to your e-commerce site, landing page, affiliate website you are promoting, or a website connected to your online business.
Facebook traffic is very qualified, these are potential customers or clients that have confirmed interest in your offering. The one thing that is critical to your online business, irrelevant of what your Genre is, is traffic, no traffic, no business! In order to build a list of followers or fans, you need to post regularly to your Facebook. You can post sales pitches, product launches, and similar, but don't bore your followers because they will just scroll past your posts and ultimately stop following you. Strong copy as well as compelling offers can bring in a lot of traffic to your website, social media sites and via and email, but you should also have useful & interesting content on your pages that engages the follower, this is what’ll keep them coming back.
The great Russel Brunson of Click Funnels fame, uses the Sinefeld Sequences in the (Affiliate Boot Camp) training modules which I strongly suggest you sign up for, before leaving this page.
You should also post industry news, funny stories, success stories. post photos and videos, tell stories and compel your audience to crave your next offering.
Using Facebook to Generate Leads
In essence, all Facebook users are potential leads for your business, not everybody will be interested in your offering but Facebook does make it easy to find those that are the perfect audience for your business and for them to find you. This is why a business FB page is critical to your success. Want to create magical "call to action" graphics for zero cost? Click on the Canvar Icon aside.
When building your email list from a FB initiative, it’s important that you give them some kind of incentive to sign up, something like a free ebook or special report related to your niche / their interest. All of the Guru's that we have studied and included in this membership site use this exact same method. You can also include an email opt-in form directly on your Facebook page.
You should also consider joining fan pages or Facebook groups that are in the same industry or niche as your target audience and start posting interesting and compelling facts, stories, solutions & suggestions to whatever fears or desires they have. Do not blatantly sell, this type of networking can bring more people to your sales page, website or landing page, but if you are to "in their face" trying to sell your wares, you will probably be thrown out of the group.
Facebook Ads.
As the saying goes, “You have to spend money to make money,” and that’s certainly true in the case with running paid ads on Facebook. You’ve more than likely seen these types of ads, they’re the little banners on the right side of the page, as well as the sponsored posts that show up directly in your news feed, and as we mentioned previously, the cookies that follow you around online, follow you throughout FB and beyond, suggesting that what appears in your feed or RH column are something you will probably be interested in and you’re more likely to click through and sign up and potentially even buy the product or service you are promoting.
As an advertiser that’s great news because your ads are getting directly in front of the right people, your target audience.
As with any type of online advertising, FB ads can be expensive if you don’t know what you’re doing. So before you use this method to make money on Facebook, you should have your business model completely worked out in advance and have cash in reserve because there will be some trial and error before you find ad copy and an offer that works. Once you have mastered the ever changing landscape of placing ads and you're seeing results, the next step is boosting posts. When you find a post on Facebook that is working well and engaging your audience, you can “boost” posts by paying fee's that are generally low cost and controlled in order to reach very specific audiences such as male/female, age groups, likes, specific groups they follow, such as Fishing (as an example) and even by location such as Zip, Town/City, State or Region. The good news is that when you start to boost postsBoosting puts it in front of more people with the right buying habits.
Bricks & Mortar Business - A consulting opportunity!
Customers expect every business they interact with to have a Facebook page and this specifically includes businesses with physical locations like shops, retail stores, restaurants, offices and even moving target businesses such as sports and leisure clubs. The strange thing is that less than 20% of small local businesses even have a FB page.
It’s important that all businesses have a Facebook page that clearly shows details such as location, what the place is all about, what products or services they offer, opening and closing details, who their perfect audience is and why, news of sales and discount offers or special events. Bars & Restaurants specifically should post details about happy hour almost daily sometime around 5:00 pm. Whatever the local business, it's imperative to get conversations going with your followers.
One of the main reasons we decided to include this model at this point was based on the fact that there are many "Small Business FaceBook Consultants" (SBFC's) out there that are generating $200 - $500 per week, per client, managing campaigns for businesses that are mirror images of the businesses we highlighted above.
Selling or Promoting OPP's. AKA Affiliate Marketing.
Selling or Promoting other peoples products, better known as Affiliate marketing, is one of the quickest ways to get started in an online business and probably the cheapest.
The model is simple.

There are also dozens Affiliate networks that you can join and choose to promote a wide range of products and service, there are literally thousands of choices. Click through the images aside & find "what will work for You!
The next step is to promote the products & services from those sites on your Business Facebook page. When a visitor to your page clicks on the link you're promoting, and buys the product, you get a commission.
As with any strategy to make money on Facebook, it’s important to post regularly and engage with your audience. This creates trust and makes it more likely people will buy.
